Bio Unlike many authors, I didn’t know from a young age that I wanted to write. I did, however, know I loved to read. Before I became literate, I would ask any and all family members to read to me. I know my dad looked forward to the day I started Kindergarten so I could learn to entertain myself and stop saying, “Read, Daddy, Read!” It wasn’t until college that I read my first romance novel. While telling my dentist I was an English major, he suggested that I read a local author, Sandra Brown. Needless to say, it was because of her romance novels that I became inspired to write. Still an avid reader, I enjoy books by Sandra Brown, as well as Vicki Lewis Thompson, Mary Balogh, and Carly Phillips. When I’m not reading or writing, I spend time with my wonderful husband and Chihuahua, Shakes, in Texas.
